Forever 21 dress, Thrifted denim jacket, Sam&Libby boots, Dad's vintage flannel
One of my favorite things to do—when I'm bored with my own clothes—is delve through my parents old clothing. I gotta say, my parents were pretty stylish back in the day. Looking through old photo albums, countless times I'd catch myself thinking, "UGH! I wish Mom still had that top!"
This is actually the 2nd flannel I've inherited from my Dad. Thanks to him, I've saved possibly $10+ on a plaid shirt. There's something quite "cool" about daughter's wearing their father's old clothes. Maybe because I'm slightly more of a Daddy's girl, wearing something of my Dad's just gets me nostalgic and I feel a sense of safety, if you will. I love my old man (aka, Mr. Forever Young)!
What about you? Do you like incorporating a piece of your parents old wardrobe into your own? If so, what's your favorite item? :)
